About me

Years ago, at a health consultation, I was asked a trauma related question that caused me to reflect on the connection of the mind and body. It completely confounded me yet, it stayed with me. As soon as I returned home I opened my laptop and began to research trauma and the body. And, what I found led to my realization of the significance of an embodied approach to wholeness. It also began my journey into the field of psychotherapy. Today, I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Q), Dance/Movement Psychotherapist (Q) and Certified Reiki Master Practitioner. My approach is client-centred, allowing us to make sense of your lived experience together within a relational, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed framework. As a holistic practitioner, I integrate talk therapy and cognitive approaches with psycho-spirituality, expressive arts and somatic (body-oriented) modalities. With empathic understanding, curiosity and openness, I welcome tuning into the wisdom that both the mind and body hold. I aim to welcome all parts of my clients in a way that feels supportive, and am honoured to walk alongside them in their path to healing, holding space along the way with care.
