About me

Relationships are the heartbeat of our lives, often providing an indicator of our interpersonal health (the ways in which we relate to others) and of our intrapersonal, inner worlds (the ways in which we relate to ourselves). At best, our close relationship(s) can be a warm and safe space for healing and/or bringing our authentic self forward. My aim is to provide this same safety and warmth in our counselling relationship, free of judgement and rich in connection. My journey as a clinical counsellor has deeply influenced how I engage with the world: through a trauma-informed and cultural-competency lens, grounded in family systems and anti-oppressive frameworks. I feel fortunate in being able to provide support for those seeking it, in navigating the challenges and complexities that naturally arises when bringing people together and/or moving through life stages and transitions—in whatever way this may look for you! I enjoy working with adults, youth and their parents, as well as couples and families, and am committed to the transformative power of knowledge-sharing in its ability to guide us through life stages and transitions with greater ease and connection. I firmly believe that all of us, regardless of age, gender, background, etc., have a sincere wisdom within us, waiting to be shared and/or realized. In addressing and assisting issues related to sexuality and/or sexual health in a relationship, I aim to provide a space for sex-positive acceptance and the safety for exploration in our sessions as well as a trauma-informed lens, especially when working through sexual trauma. I have over 5 years of experience in the healthcare field and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s in Counselling and a Bachelor’s in Physiology—the combination of the two profoundly influences my view of the mind and body as one, as a continuously ebbing and flowing system. My mission is to support and empower those I am in service of to overcome systemic barriers, while recognizing that I operate within systems myself. When I’m not engaging in counselling spaces, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, reading (especially in nature!), and re-organizing my home for approximately the 111th time. Being surrounded by nature, gardening/arranging flowers, perusing a home goods or bookstore, and being climbed on by small animals and children alike, are some of my happy places.
