About me

For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in people’s stories. You can expect that I will be genuinely interested in yours. My approach is to listen to your story with genuine curiosity and without judgement. In doing this, I believe that we can work together to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel welcome, safe and validated. I have a passion for working with people from all walks of life. I have experience in and offer sessions to children, adolescents, adults, and couples who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or loss, and everyday life stressors. I believe that each person sees the world through a different lens and that each of you will bring your unique experience, strengths and challenges to the counselling room. I work from an integrated theoretical approach and I am drawn to theories such as Person-centered Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe that a trusting relationship is key for change and growth, and my desire is to walk beside you as we engage in your story together. By providing empathy and compassion, my desire is that you will feel seen and heard as we work together towards hope and healing. I have a Masters degree in Counselling and I am a Professional member of CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
