About me

I am dedicated to providing you with a safe and supportive environment. I strive to build authentic connections rooted in mutual trust, respect, understanding, and openness so you can feel reassured and secure in your therapeutic journey. I believe that the wisdom to navigate challenges lies within each individual. My role as a therapist is to facilitate the discovery of these insights. I am committed to meeting you where you are in your journey and working collaboratively to explore and find meaning in your experiences. In my practice, I maintain a non-judgemental stance and tailor my approach to the unique needs of each individual and couple. I seek to draw on my lived experiences and am dedicated to learning and growing alongside you, demonstrating my investment in your progress. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, culture-sensitive and anti-oppressive. I am particularly inclined towards Humanistic-Existential therapy due to its client-centered approach and its exploration of universal human experiences such as isolation, death anxiety, self-awareness, and meaning. This approach's integrative nature and applicability across different disciplines and cultures resonate with me. In my work, I incorporate, among others, Emotion-focused and Acceptance and Commitment therapeutic techniques. I speak multiple languages and offer services in English and Amharic. In my commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, I offer a sliding scale and low-rate options depending on eligibility and availability.
