About me

Hello! I'm Alejs, pronounced 'Alex'. My genuine warmth, humour and curiosity play a big role in my approach to therapy. It’s important to me that you feel well-supported when digging into difficult material. My goal is to support you in finding new ways to explore and attend to the places and parts of yourself where you feel stuck or lost. My relational somatic approach is informed by emergent research on attachment and neurophysiology. You can expect a curious invitation to reconnect to the wisdom and resilience inherent in the body. This approach offers creative ways to process distress related to trauma and living in a world not built for most of us to thrive. The modalities I specialized training in are Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy, EMDR, Brainspotting and IFS. My areas of focus are: LGBTQIA+ issues. Trauma & C-PTSD (adverse childhood experiences, sexualized violence, religious trauma). Non-normative relationships & lifestyles. 1st gen. & immigrant Canadians. Deep thinkers who want to explore their emotions but don't know where to start.
