About me

Hello, and welcome! My name is Joseph Bottros and I’m a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist at Anchored Therapy Centre - Individual and Couples Therapy, where I focus in providing individual and couples therapy. My mission is to help you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and support. I offer both in-person sessions in Georgetown and Mississauga, as well as virtual therapy across Ontario, ensuring that you have access to care no matter where you are. From a young age, I was drawn to understanding the complexities of human emotions and the power of connection. This led me to pursue a career in mental health, and I am proud to bring my education and experience to support individuals and couples on their paths toward healing and growth. I focus on a range of issues, including anxiety, anger, infidelity, discernment, trauma, relationship struggles, and family dynamics. My therapeutic approach is grounded in various evidence-based techniques, such as Emotinally Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which help clients develop coping mechanisms, enhance self-awareness, and foster emotional well-being. What sets our sessions apart is my unwavering commitment to creating a warm, safe space where you can feel truly heard and understood. Whether you're working through personal struggles, seeking to improve communication in a relationship, or addressing family conflicts, I will be your partner in this journey. Together, we will build the tools and insights necessary for you to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life. I invite you to connect with me, whether it’s through scheduling a consultation or simply reaching out to discuss your needs. Let’s explore the transformative potential of our work together. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone; I’m here to help you find your way. To learn more about my services, please visit my website at www.anchoredtherapycentre.com. I look forward to supporting you on your path to emotional resilience and stronger relationships.
