About me

Hello, my name is Tej (rhymes with ‘page’) and I has over two decades’ experience working in both corporate and client-facing roles in the health care field. I became interested in psychology after a life-changing experience receiving therapy in my 30’s. After 20 years working as an accountant, market analyst, project manager, and consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, I pivoted to a more hands-on role as a Registered Psychotherapist. My combination of counselling skills and lived experience gives me a unique perspective as I support a wide range of clients ages 18+. I take a client-centred, integrative approach with clients, personalizing each therapy session at our Oakville clinic in a safe, accepting, non-judgmental, trusting manner. This combination of warmth and wisdom forms the basis of my care as I serve as a trusted, female therapist in Oakville. I uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Walking Therapy. I am a proud member of both the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as well as the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. On the personal side, I enjoy spending time with my teenage son and activities such as yoga, travel, and baking. I cherish outdoor time spent hiking or playing golf, and I'm not afraid to admit that I am a fan of very bad reality television.
