About me

Tanis (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Further to this, she combines her background in youth and family support, nutritional consulting, holistic wellness, and human resources with her Master’s in Counselling Psychology to bring a comprehensive approach to mental health. Tanis has a special interest in working with clients navigating major life transitions such as divorce, grief, career changes, and identity discovery. Navigating life, with all its twists and turns, can be a daunting task. Tanis believes that we all have a personal narrative that only we are the experts in. With that, she provides a caring respect-focused therapeutic approach. Building on a foundation of trust, open communication, honesty, and positive regard, a supportive and safe environment is the goal. With this foundation in place, clients take the lead through the collaborative process. Tanis supports clients of all ages on their unique journey from a place of empathy and compassion. Outside counselling, Tanis can be found spending time enjoying all BC offers with her big blended family and two very spoiled cats.
