About me

With over 30 years of experience in the helping professions, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals, couples, and families in meaningful ways. More recently, I have transitioned into private practice, where I continue to offer compassionate and evidence-based care. I hold a Certificate in Relationship Coaching, a Bachelor's degree in Language Arts, and a diploma in Social Work, along with graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education and Counselling Psychology. Additionally, I am an experienced EAP Counsellor, a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II). As a licensed Early Childhood Educator in Alberta, a former member of the Alberta College of Social Workers, and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), I bring extensive clinical expertise to my practice. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each client's unique needs. My approach draws techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago RelationshipTherapy (IRT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Flash Technique and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My intervention techniques help clients shift unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions, navigate distress and trauma, cultivate mindfulness, self-acceptance, and improve interpersonal effectiveness. My specialties are premarital, couples, and family counselling, working within a bio-psycho-social collaborative framework. My practice is trauma-informed and culturally competent, ensuring that each client’s unique experiences and needs are acknowledged, respected, and supported. My practice is supported by over thirty insurers. It would be my honour to collaborate with you in achieving your goals. I look forward to our work together!
