Giovanna Barreto

About me

Giovanna holds a degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Since 2002, she has been in private practice, transforming her passion into a profession dedicated to healing the invisible pains of the soul and mind. In addition to her clinical work, Giovanna has taught various subjects and educational levels in her native Mexico, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She also served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Attorney General's Office. Giovanna is an active participant in national and international conferences, offering training and workshops on a variety of topics. Her experience extends to working with law firms in Mexico City, where she prepared legal expert reports for the courts and provided psychotherapeutic support to individuals and families. For the past three years, she has volunteered with Chatham-Kent Victim Services and, most recently, collaborates with immigration consultants in Windsor to help migrants navigate complex legal proceedings. She currently works in private practice and part-time at Rain&Shine with juvenile offenders who are on probation with criminal charges.
