About me

I am passionate about helping individuals overcome pain, isolation, challenges, and fostering well-being in individuals, couples, families, and communities. After a personal loss, I pursued my calling as a Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Originally from Japan, I have extensive experience supporting diverse populations across cultures and life stages, particularly helping children, adolescents, and their families. I believe in a collaborative, authentic therapeutic process. Using a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed lens, I tailor modalities to meet clients where they are and help them reach their goals. My experiences at the Calgary Counselling Centre, Distress Centre, and the Centre for Newcomers have shaped my inclusive and collaborative approach to therapy, fostering a commitment to lifelong learning myself. I offer sessions in English or Japanese.
